THANK YOU!

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you that are visiting the blog and our FB PAGE Last night was a whirlwind of emotions for me watching it. We did not get to see it before ALL of you did and to make it even worse, we lost power about 10 minutes before it was set to air at our "viewing party". We were really nervous then, but we know it was Satan working overtime. Whenever you do something in the name of Christ, Satan tries to steal the joy!! No matter what happened we were not going to allow that to happen. At our "viewing party" we actually were taking donations to benefit our local food pantry, Sylvania Area Family Services, and their summer program. They were in need of snack/drink items for the program and we were able to collect a lot of that last night for them. I will post pictures later from the lady that was taking pictures so you all can see how the community came together by everyone bringing 2 items. See our donations do matter. If you are new to my blog, my weekly challenge every Sunday is for everyone to pick up 4 items to donate to a local food bank, shelter, or family you may know in need. None of us can help everyone, BUT all of us can help someone AND when we help them, we SERVE JESUS!! That is what my blog is about. . .PASSING THE BLESSING ON. All of us joining together to do something "small" but the end result is something "HUGE". Look at previous pictures from my classes. It is not the magnitude of the gift that we give, but whose hands we put the gift into!! My donations are prayed over before they are taken and asked to bless the families and for God to give them to the family they are supposed to go to!! We serve an AWESOME GOD and my prayer is that you will all accept the challenge every Sunday!!
