Good morning everyone!!! I am so excited to challenge everyone today. This is such an easy way to be a part of something "HUGE", so here is my challenge for ALL of you this week!! My prayer continues to be that everyone will accept it and do “something”. As of this morning we had 1803 "LIKES" on our facebook page, but over 5639 people that have read and/or visited the blog this week. That is 590 more “LIKES” than last week. I am asking EVERYONE that takes the time to look at this blog or has “LIKED” us on FB to please accept this challenge. This is such a tangible way of helping our communities and start changing lives . . . one at a time. All YOU NEED to do is pick up 4 extra items this week and donate to a local food pantry, a shelter, or a family that you know that is in need. None of us can help EVERYONE, but ALL OF US can help SOMEONE, and when we help them, WE SERVE JESUS!! If all 1803 people on the FB page did that, that is 7212 items being donated that is over 2360 more from last week. THANK YOU JESUS!! I have listed several FREE items below, thus meaning it is NOT costing you any money, just your time to go shopping and most of us will already be shopping. Just think of the impact we can have. Now if you add all the people who have visited the blog to that number, total number of items being donated would be 29,768 items!! We all have to join together and do something "small" (our 4 items) and the end result is "HUGE". Again, make it one better than that and each of you challenge 5 of your friends to take the challenge on or ASK THEM TO POST THIS TO THEIR FB PAGE and now the donations increase to 178,608 items. God can take our donations, bless them, and use it to touch many!! God wants us to bring what we have to HIM.
God does big things with small deeds so discount the smallness of your deeds. Against a towering giant, a brook pebble seems futile. But God used it to topple Goliath. Compared to the tithes of the wealthy, a widow’s coins seem puny, but Jesus used them to inspire us. Small deeds can change the world. . . one community at a time. God empowers the tiny deed.
Proverbs 11:25 “The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.:
The amazing thing in the story about the Feeding of the Five Thousand is how the miracle was done. God could have done it any way He wanted. It could have rained bread from heaven. But He did it through natural means. The supernatural worked through the natural.
Jesus told the disciples to have the multitude break into groups of 50 and 100. Then the Bible tells us, "And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all" (Mark 6:41). The disciples kept distributing the food, and it multiplied as they gave it out.
Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). God will bless generosity. Proverbs 11:25 says, "The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself."
As we give, God will bless us. As we distribute, God will give us more. Matthew 14:20 offers this detail about the Feeding of the Five Thousand: "So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained." Jesus gave them more than they needed. And this reminds us that we serve a generous God.
Are you willing to pass on what God has given you? Or, are you trying to hold on to it all? As the disciples distributed the food that God had multiplied, everyone was blessed. Everyone had their part. God gives us gifts. We need to use them for His glory.
I want everyone to know when I post my weekly challenge it is definitely not to boast about what is being done, because without CHRIST in the center of it, it will NOT be blessed. My whole purpose of uploading pictures and showing the “HARVEST” is so everyone can see how your "small" donation multiplied abundantly into a ‘HUGE” donation because WE ALL came together to make a difference, so YOUR 4 DONATIONS DO MATTER!! This is truly only something God could do and it was a pretty simple thing to do!! I also want to make people aware of the TREMENDOUS need in our communities for hygienic items. These items are not covered on food stamps and when we give those items they bless people beyond what you could ever imagine. I know. . . I was one of "those" people before. I lived it and lived through it and my mission is to make a difference in someone's life everyday, NOT to get credit, but because that is what God tells us to do. We should not give expecting someone to act a certain way when we give them a gift, but we should give because we are really giving to Christ!! Matthew 25:40.
What makes a gift great in God's service is not the magnitude of the gift, it is into WHOSE HANDS the gift is given. Let's give these gifts and trust God to multiply them and change our communities. . . one life at a time. It is that simple with coupons and Christ. I am so excited to see what God has planned this week for our communities. WE CAN ALL DO IT TOGETHER!! Anyone up for the challenge?
I am so excited to see how many of you complete the challenge. PASS THE BLESSING ON and let’s change our communities. . . one life at a time!!
GOD IS GOOD. . . ALL THE TIME!!
Mission: To teach others to save money through couponing (become good stewards with their money) while sharing the blessing with others who are in need. . .PASS THE BLESSING ON!
